Practicum Reflection

Practicum-Final-Reflection-1

The last day of our practicum last semester was emotional. partially due to it being a little stressful but, at the end, the kids gave us a little gift. It was a flipbook that had a drawing and a memory that we had together from each student in the class. It was surprising to me how in just 8 classes we already grew a little attached to the students. It made me realize why burnout can be such a prevalent thing for teachers. You get so invested in the classroom accomplishments of your students that you become invested in their education and their wellbeing and that can be a lot when it is almost 30 kids. On the other hand, I don’t think many jobs are as fulfilling as being a teacher and seeing them learn and grow.
